Ice Cream

Top song, off to see this live in the big last week.

The Big Match

This beautiful animation I first saw broacasted on The One Show on
Friday 13th and my mum really liked it, and I did too. It's a three
minute short story of a boy from Northern Ireland revisiting the day
he went to see the team play Denmark, and the journey of his tshirt.

I really love the transitioning and colour through the different scenes
and situations, the details brilliant and you're immersed in a real
atmosphere.

It took me ages to find out who produced it, but it just so happens to
be N.I animation team FlickerPix.

So, FlickerPix, thankyou

Sexy Heroine

Very sensual and provocative works by J.K.B Fletcher, I love the intimacy that stretches beyond a photograph in these oil paintings, and the sense of scale is magnificent when painted big. I'd love to do something like this (as a portrait of whoever would be willing to sit in). But anyway, I just love these.

Corpse Bride

This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful film.

Kanye West - Runaway

I'am late catching on to this, but aside from his egotistic reputation, this is a pretty epic piece of film-making, which showcases pretty much the greatest songs on one of possibly the best albums of the year personally.

First Year PPD Evaluation Presentation

So this is my finalised PPD presentation, I can't rate it myself but I tried my best to make it visually interesting and include the content I needed.

Mateusz Sypien

Stunning work:

And the trailer for a stunning short film of his entitled "Colourbleed":

"A young girl, creative and idealistic, dreams of brighter days in a forgotten Eastern European city. Her fate is inextricably sealed when she crosses paths with a scheming, and enigmatic old woman, who harbours a dark secret.

What seems like a small act of cruelty between strangers, will fracture the very foundations of a city."

Ambitious Plan

Last week I was stuck for things to do and irritated by my inability to work when I really need to, so I produced a plan for a probably far-fetched by nonetheless exciting adventure.

So I've planned out a 15 day journey to Brighton beach, all on my bike, stopping off every night at a different Travelodge. I'd really love to fulfill this grand idea in the summer, with hopefully a bit of money behind me (with the only worry being a change of clothes every day and night).

I've even gone to the extent of drawing on to a map my various overnight destinations, eventually leading to Brighton on the 15th day, but this could change depending if I extend the trip to more days, just to control the amount of cycling every day. Oh and I might need a puncture repair kit or two.
