Not Over Yet...
This is a ditty little abstract interpretation of the Klaxons song "It's Not Over Yet" - a Grace cover. I were attempting to represent quite a rough texture, using notions of safety in the piece. I think I might try screenprint this one a few times, and maybe on to t'shirts as well in the new year.

My friend Tom...
This is Tom's work. It's so brilliant I thought it deserved some sort of tribute (be it a fairly poor one on this blog), but a little tribute nevertheless.
His work's got some clearly spooky aspects, but he captures manic situations of insanity and delirium.
Tom's way of colliding colour together with his trusty, but grand, array of Pro-markers make him a force to be reckoned with, as the colours are quite particular in their tone and in what amount of each illustration they cover. Another integral degree to his work is the invention of weird and psychedelic characters that infect (in a beautiful way) the drawings with an acid bite. What's important about the characters are their ability to bellow out such vibrant and chaotic personalities and traits, whether it's how their mouths spew with imaginable voices or how scrawny their bodies are, Tom certainly has a way of complex portrayal, in his signature style.
So to Tom, well done and keep up the amazing work! I really hope more people stumble upon your work over the next three years I'll know you x
Oh, and this is Tom's blog if you'd be care to visit! http://tomw101.blogspot.com/

Screenprinting tomorrow...
Really looking forward to screenprinting one or two of these tomorrow, but just the black outlines. They took so long to do and it'll be nice to make some proper prints from them.
